heard the HD-555 don't think the extra 30$ is worth adding. Great headphones. you don't feel any pressure on the ears and in the area.great buy and i recommend this headphones for those who want high quality sound in this price range,i did a fair amount of listening tests and the headphones that are better than these cost a lot more and usually need an amp for proper listening. i have these for little over 2 months now, the Hd-515 are very very comfortable for hours on your head, surprising is the fact that you can put this on even if you have glasses. great for music ,movies and playing games on the pc. the sound is very good for the money.
They are comfy to wear for extended periods, and some songs sound fine, but when you want a deep resonant bass they just don't come through. For blowing things up on my ps3 without waking the wife they'll work, but I would not reccomend these to the serious audiophile or anyone who needs a deep bass experience. I just got these 'phones for Christmas. Classic rap like "Aint Nothin' but a G Thang" which should be bass heavy and awesome come across as thin and metallic while more recent tracks like Radiohead's "Reckoner", which should be full and deep feel weak and flat. As a gift for gaming, they'll probably be great, but for listening to my favorite songs I'll stick with my Bose earbuds. I plan on using them mostly for late night gaming but so far have only listened to music through my pc. 1st impressions are that the highs are a bit tinny and the lows are mids at best.
Easy to use, great sound and very affordable. These headphones are great for my usage.
They are better at surround sound than the closed type. These are my choice for use with Advanced Brain Technologies recordings (such as DeStress, Relax, Concentration). May need an adapter for your iPod or CD player, but worth it. You hear the surround sound farther away from you and it is more active in the brain. They do not compete with the precision recordings by adding in dolby or noise cancellation technologies. These are open, that is to say you can hear other sounds around you.
This makes the plug too bulky. Please note that these headphones are open, so sound will escape. The Headphones sound great and are very comfortable. But, overall I am very happy with my purchase. I highly recommend these headphones cause they were affordable and they sound amazing. Only bad thing about the headphones is the actual plug. When plugging into my computer I have to use the adaptor that comes with it.
